Katy is a life-long, multi-sport athlete and practicing Physical Therapist - it's safe to say she knows how to manipulate the human body :) Starting jiu jitsu later in life at the age of 31 as a smaller woman who trained regularly with college-aged men, Katy has exquisite "small person" technique and tactics that focus on maximizing leverage while keeping herself safe. "At my age [42] you can't muscle anything - especially not against younger and stronger people. I developed my jiu jitsu game around this fact, which is why it's so effective for smaller people", says Katy.

Katy's favorite submission is a Guillotine choke.
